3 months!

So much has changed in the past month! James Brigham is really growing and changing so much everyday. We thought he was a smiley boy before, but now, OH MY! He loves to smile and isn't shy about it. He's even laughing, but still not the real laugh he does during his sleep sometimes. We're still waiting for that :).

He likes to stand up and boy does he love to chat with mom and dad. Several nights I am in tears laughing so hard...he is just too cute and I love his little coos, gurgles, squeals, and singing. It makes it so hard for us to go to work everyday. A few days ago he woke up when I was getting ready for work and just talked to me from his crib as I got ready to leave.

Bath time is still his favorite part of the day. He is starting to kick around and play in the bath. I think he is going to love swimming!

He can hold his head up now and loves to look around now that he can see more.

Lazy Sunday morning. James and Dad sleep in while Mom gets ready for church. During the week Geoff wakes up to feed James, then they both go back to sleep for a couple hours. What a life ;). But, Geoff is also the one to stay up at night with baby.

Sunday morning chat with momma. The first 10 seconds are the cutest, then he decides to stop talking & just eats his hands. He is learning what his hands can do and to stick everything in his mouth.

Looking handsome in his new church outfit!

May 2008 - together for Mom's 60th

Rachel found this on her hard drive tonight and I couldn't believe she'd never shown it to me or posted it...ooops! I guess she wanted to change a few things but since we moved a couple times last summer she never got around to it. Oh well....here it is anyway :) Enjoy!

1 week old

After we were checked into the hospital and our doctor was called, we were informed she was on vacation for the weekend and the on call doctor would be delivering. We felt blessed because we ended up liking him a lot. I think he kind of looks like Geoff, what do you think?

The view from our postpartum recovery room.

While I was pregnant, I would rub the right side of my belly and James would stick his feet out to get a foot rub. On Saturday evening (1 day old) I discovered he still loves his little massages.

Getting ready to go home!

James had to lay in the sun for a few minutes in the morning for his jaundice.

Here he's asking for a foot rub :)

We decided that this was his position while in the womb...he loves to sleep like this and always reverts back to this position no matter what he is doing.

James had his first check-up on Tuesday (4 days old) to get his weight and color checked. Turned out his bilirubin levels from the jaundice were higher than normal, so he has had to do phototherapy for a few days.

He was able to come off the lamp today! We are excited and thankful for that. Yesterday Geoff pointed out to me that today James will be one week old. I looked at him like he was crazy but then realized that it has really been a whole week. It has gone by so fast! We are totally in love with this little boy and have been pleasantly surprised with how calm and peaceful he is. We're trying to enjoy it while it lasts!
